Forge Speaker Adrian Despres reports from a men’s conference at Utica Baptist Church in Clinton, Mississippi, where three generations gathered—teenage boys through senior adults—cooked their own food, grilled their own steaks, and sat down together to hear from God. When the invitation came, every generation was represented. Several men gave their lives to the Lord, and many committed to being laborers for Christ. Adrian was particularly struck by the senior men, locked in, fully focused, and ready to respond to what God was asking of them. This is the Gospel taking hold across generations, in one room, at one table.
.Forge Speaker Paul Epperson reports from a multi-church high school camp in Lexington, Nebraska, where he reunited with longtime friend and camp director Tim Wilkins eight years after his last visit. What unfolded over the week was, by Paul’s account, simply God showing up, and not quietly. Students were saved, and others returned to Jesus fiercely and passionately. There was weeping, sobbing, joy, dancing, and spontaneous late-night worship, and God called not just Kingdom Laborers but vocational ministers, pastors, teachers, and missionaries. Paul describes it as one student put it: like God the Father opened up His house, grew His yard, and let everyone play in His presence. This is the kind of week Kingdom Laborers are made in.
