Forge Speaker Melissa Motschenbacher preached at a local church in Denver, sharing from Matthew 13 on the Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl of Great Price.
The response was overwhelming—nearly 100 people came forward to commit to stewarding the Kingdom treasures God has placed in their lives. Each one took a diamond memento, declaring, “I have a Kingdom treasure, and I’m going to share it.” Melissa also gave an invitation to follow Christ. Though no one responded publicly, one woman later tapped her on the shoulder and said, “I should have raised my hand.” Melissa was able to pray with her as she gave her life to Jesus. Another man, well-versed in theology, told her, “This message was the practical reminder I needed—I need to share what I know.” Melissa closed with gratitude and a prayer that the seeds planted would continue to grow.

Hello, this is Melissa Motchenbacher, Operations and Communications Director at Forge and Forge Speaker. I just wanted to say thank you so much for your prayers.
I had the opportunity to preach on Sunday at a local church here the Denver area and I preached out of Matthew 13 on the parable of the hidden treasure and the parable of the pearl great price.
It was an incredible opportunity and we had over a, well, we had close to 100 people respond to the message to come forth and steward those Kingdom treasures that the Lord has given them and has put into their care.
And what can they do as they are here, there and everywhere they came forward to the altar to grab a little diamond momentto, say I have a kingdom treasure, and I’m going to share it.
It was an incredible response and I also gave an opportunity to share Christ and if you wanted to give your life to Christ. No one responded, however, when I went to sit down, someone tapped me on the shoulder and leaned over and said, “You asked if anyone here wanted to give their life to Christ and I should have raised my hand, but I didn’t.” And so I was able to talk with her after and she gave her life to Christ.
I also had a gentleman come up and say, “I have a lot of biblical knowledge, I have a master’s, I was going to get my doctorate in Theology. I know a lot of the Bible but this message was so practical and a reminder that I needed to share what it is that I know and share the love of God with those around me.”
So I just want to say thank you for you praying. Please continue to pray for these people and that the Lord would continue with the response that’s in their heart.
