Have you ever wondered what it truly means to live a life guided by wisdom?
Understanding God’s Wisdom
What does it mean to say, “God is wisdom?” It’s more than just knowledge or understanding. God’s wisdom is the perfect application of all knowledge. It’s an attribute of His very nature. God doesn’t need to learn or study to gain wisdom.
It’s simply who He is.
So, what does that mean for you and me? Let’s turn to Proverbs 4 and discover how we can seek this divine wisdom.
Wisdom Begins with a Heart That Listens
If you want wisdom, it starts with a humble and attentive heart. Listen to God’s Word. Proverbs 4:4 says, “Let your heart hold fast My words; keep My commandments, and live.”
How can you cultivate a listening heart?
- Slow down. Be intentional about hearing God’s voice.
- Be open. Accept what God reveals in His Word, even when it’s difficult.
- Prioritize God. Make your relationship with Him the most important thing.
Remember 2 Corinthians 11:3. Don’t let your thoughts be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. Be doers of the word, not just hearers.
