Scripture Focus:
Exodus 3:2 (NIV) — “There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.”
Have you ever seen a fire start small, almost invisible, and then grow until it lights everything around it? God works the same way in hearts—igniting a spark that grows into courage, compassion, and purpose. Throughout Scripture, we see this pattern again and again: God meeting ordinary people and setting their hearts ablaze for His purposes.
Moses encountered God in a burning bush and was sent to lead a nation out of slavery (Exodus 3). Later, God guided the Israelites through the wilderness with a pillar of fire, showing His presence and leading them safely through uncertainty (Exodus 13). Elijah experienced God’s fire on Mount Carmel, calling the people back to trust and courage (1 Kings 18). In each of these moments, the fire wasn’t just dramatic—it was a signal that God was present, calling for a response, and inviting transformation.
The same God who lit fires in Scripture is still at work today. He awakens faith, sparks courage, and invites each of us into the work He has prepared. These sparks often begin quietly—a thought, a feeling, or a gentle nudge. Sometimes it’s a prompt to act with courage, to show compassion, or to step into something that stretches you. Over time, those small sparks can grow into bold purpose that changes the way you live, love, and serve.

This week, pay attention to the sparks God is already igniting in your heart. Sit in His presence, notice what stirs you, and reflect on where God might be calling you into a deeper purpose. Consider how even small sparks in your day-to-day life can be part of God shaping your heart for what He has prepared.
