I was discussing AI recently with a genius developer. He was explaining his process of training his AI systems and agents to have multiple AI programs working together simultaneously. My mind was blown with the complexity, capacity, and capability revolving around this world of AI.
I asked, “Are you a bit afraid of where AI is headed?” He explained the importance of training the AI system to make it work for you! He went on to say his AI agents know Jesus! I probably showed the pure shock directly on my face. “What?” I asked, “What do you mean?”
He explained that he spends a significant amount of time daily talking to and training his AI systems and agents. He also was clear to add that he does not neglect telling them about Jesus being the Savior of the World. He admitted he wants everything coming out of His AI agents to funnel through the lens that Jesus is the Savior of the World! He said if you ask any of his AI agents about God or if God is real, they undoubtedly and unanimously defend their stance with Biblical Apologetics and can even reference scriptures within the Bible.
Now that is one way to train your dragon! He has been making an investment into AI programming that will continually point to God as the creator of the world and His son Jesus the Savior of the world as he uses various systems daily within his business. He is building a rock-solid foundation deep within the roots. He is working to cultivate a culture that rests on a solid Biblical foundation. He is taking the time, making the investment, and training this beast! Whatever your view or stance is on AI, we can undoubtedly say, it’s here to stay!
My friend is Kingdom minded in all He does. He does not compartmentalize Christianity or leave it for a Sunday morning worship experience. He is a Kingdom Laborer—someone who is working every day to point others to Jesus. Whether serving at church, sharing the Gospel in the workplace, serving internationally on a mission’s trip, loving his family well or training His AI—He is keeping Jesus woven throughout every facet of His life.
Can you say the same thing? I don’t know that I can say that is always the case for me. I want it to be, but there are areas of my life I can most definitely work to invite Jesus into.
A scripture in Colossians is a great reminder for us:
Colossians 3:16-17 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.“ (ESV)
May I ask an honest question? Have you ever had a cocky attitude to simply say, “Whatever”—maybe even coupled it simultaneously with an eye roll? I have—more than once. Why don’t we consider reposturing our hearts and rephrasing it to continue on… “Whatever… I do…I will do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus!”
In verse 17, the word “whatever” means entirety or whole. Whatever you do, whether in communication or in action, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to the Father through Jesus.
Whether it’s an AI dragon before us, the words we speak, the songs we sing, the commitments we make, the thoughts we think, the steps we take, the prayers we pray, the words we type, or simply the way we live; whatever you do, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Take time to redefine your “whatever!” Are their areas of your life that need to see Jesus and hear His name? Are you compartmentalizing or hiding Jesus for only certain circles or worlds you are in? You can train those dragons in your own life! Start by asking God today to give you glimpses into areas He feels removed from. It’s not artificial intelligence you were working with here, but actual intimacy with Christ.
