Scripture Focus:

Luke 2:10-11 (NIV) — “But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people… a Savior has been born to you.’”

As we step into the Christmas season, life tends to move fast — long to-do lists, events piling up, and the pressure to make everything meaningful. In all the noise, it’s easy to miss God’s invitation for wonder.

When the angels appeared to the shepherds, Scripture says they were terrified at first — not entertained or impressed. Their schedules weren’t cleared, and nothing in their day looked special. But the wonder of God broke in anyway. Christmas began with ordinary people being surprised by the greatness of God in the middle of their normal routines.

And that’s still how He works.

Wonder isn’t about perfect moments. It’s about stopping long enough to see God at work — in the conversations that lift your spirit, in the small acts of kindness that steady you, in the strength you didn’t know you had. Wonder trains us to look for God not just in the big Christmas story, but in the everyday moments where He is already moving.

This season might be joyful, or it might feel stretched, crowded, or even a little heavy. But wonder helps us remember that God meets us exactly where we are. He doesn’t wait for us to slow down or get everything right — He steps into our world with peace, hope, and the kind of love that changes us.

Weekly Challenge:

Ask God, “Where are You at work right now, in this season?” Stay still for a few seconds. Let Him reawaken your wonder.
