Jesus didn’t come to this world with a long list of lofty projects. Instead, He came with a singular mission—to seek and save the lost, to submit to the Father and love others. His impact wasn’t through preaching from a platform or commanding large crowds—though He did that too—but through building meaningful, personal relationships. He understood that impact happens one life at a time.
Imagine this: when Jesus first met Peter, He found him on the shores of a lake. Peter was just another fisherman, living an ordinary life. But Jesus saw something extraordinary in him. Without any long speeches or demands, Jesus simply invited Peter to follow Him: “Come, follow me,” He said (Matthew 4:19). And that was the beginning of a transformative journey, not just for Peter, but for countless others whose lives would be changed as a result.

But Jesus demonstrated that making an impact means taking time to engage with others, even when it’s inconvenient. As a follower of Jesus, you’re called to be a Kingdom Laborer—someone who works to advance God’s Kingdom here on earth. But that doesn’t mean you have to do everything at once or change the world by yourself. You simply need to start where you are, with the people around you.
Just like Jesus, you are called to see, stop, and spend time with those around you. By doing this, you’ll begin to make an impact, one life at a time. And as you live out this Kingdom Laborer lifestyle, you’ll see how your actions create a ripple effect that can reach far beyond what you imagine.
You are God’s “Plan A” for the people you encounter. Whether it’s your coworker, your neighbor, or someone in your family, you have the opportunity to change their life by simply being present, loving them well, and sharing the love of Christ. Impacting one life at a time can have an exponential effect, just like those falling dominoes.
