Scott and I decided to take a brief pause and grab a quick lunch together over a long weekend. We chose the outdoor seating option at the restaurant since it was a beautiful, spring day in Denver, CO.
I love to split an entrée with my husband, whenever possible. Haven’t you heard the ol’ saying, “Sharing is caring”? I vaguely remember saying that to my children a time or two as they were growing up!
Maybe it’s the frugal side of me, or maybe the somewhat romantic side. I’m not quite sure, but I do love to share a meal with my hubby. Usually, if a salad is involved, he will gladly share. If French fries are involved, his meal is off limits! This day, we each ordered our own entrées. We enjoyed a great lunch and amazing conversation together. We had the patio all to ourselves for much of our lunch.
What happened next was intriguing to say the least. Unless my memory is failing me, this may have been a first. Toward the end of our meal, a couple sat down at the table next to us and looked over their menu, discussing the options of what they would like to share for lunch. I smiled thinking, how romantic!
