I Believe God Called Me to International Missions
You are stepping out,
carrying God’s heart for the nations!
We are celebrating with you, believing Jesus envisions incredible global impact through your life, and encourage you to do the following right now or as soon as you can before the end of the day:
1 – Go to God with this prayer now:
“Lord, I know many are still waiting to even hear of Your name. So, today I declare, send me. I will go! I am willing. Will You use my life to see the unreached of the nations come to know You? And Lord, I ask for Your wisdom and discernment on my next steps to get there! Whatever may come, I give my life for Your mission to seek and save the lost among the nations.”
2 – read and reflect on these verses:
Matthew 9:36-38
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Romans 10:14-15
How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.
Matthew 28:18-20
Jesus came near and said to them,“All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Romans 15:20
My aim is to preach the gospel where Christ has not been named, so that I will not build on someone else’s foundation.
Mark 16:15
Then he said to them,“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
3 – Tell someone about your decision
You feel called by God to the nations! That’s a big deal! Ask God who you should share this life-changing news with, and then don’t delay! Share it with them right away!
Prayerfully explore
the Unreached People Groups of the World
Prayerfully read through these mission stats on the state of the world.
Go to JoshuaProject.net and explore the interactive map with dots showing people groups (Click on “Resources” and then click on “Google Maps” or “World Map”). Explore the red dots in various countries and pray for them. Seek God for what He is asking you to do, to see more of the world reached – especially unreached places without churches, believers, or Bibles – who are still waiting to hear of Jesus!

prepare to go
Prayerfully consider initially choosing your focus: a specific ethnic people group or a specific region within a nation, and then perhaps a business or other platform that will enable you to engage them in an ongoing way. We strongly encourage you to consider going to a people group that is unreached or has a 0% Christian status, or consider going to a region that has no Christians yet! Statistically, too many of us as missionaries are going to already reached places that already have believers, Bibles, and churches while the unreached continue to wait without Christ!
If you desire more educational training, or your church / denomination requires a Biblical / Missions degree or a certain level of education and you do not have a specific a school in mind, we recommend you prayerfully consider Columbia International University / Biblical Seminary.
Or you may want to explore and search out other missions organizations that best fit you and your calling! We recommend you consider an organization focused on the unreached, evangelism and disciple-making, and ultimately establishing locally led biblical churches.
