True wisdom comes from the Lord. Proverbs 9:10 tells us, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” The fear of the Lord is not terror. It’s reverence and awe!
In Part 2 of finding God’s wisdom through Proverbs 4, we learned that seeking wisdom is urgent and to not run away from God’s words because God’s wisdom leads to a fulfilling life.
Jesus Christ is the ultimate example of God’s wisdom. 1 Corinthians 1:30-31 says that He “has become for us wisdom from God.”
Jesus passes on God’s wisdom to us through the Holy Spirit. You can only know the wisdom of God if you are filled with the Spirit of God. Are you?
Practical Steps to Get Wisdom
How do you start pursuing wisdom today? Here are some actionable steps:
- Immerse Yourself in God’s Word: The Spirit of God works with the Word of God.
- Pray for Wisdom: Ask God to give you wisdom. James 1:5 says that He gives generously.
- Seek Godly Counsel: Surround yourself with wise and faithful mentors.
- Learn from Experiences: Your past doesn’t have to define you. Let God teach you.
- Walk in Obedience: Wisdom grows as you obey God and His Word.

God is calling you to “Get Wisdom.” Will you get up close to the Lord and live? He’s inviting you to respond to Him. Go “all in” and experience the life that only God can give!
