Scripture Focus:
Deuteronomy 16:14–15 — “Be joyful at your festival—you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levites, the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns… For the Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.”
When God wants His people to remember what He has done, He does not simply ask them to think about it or leave them to remember on their own. Often, He tells them to throw a party.
Look at the calendar God gave Israel: Passover, to remember how He rescued them from slavery. The Feast of Tabernacles, to remember how He carried them through the wilderness. Feast after feast, year after year, God built celebration into the rhythm of their lives. Tables were filled, communities gathered, and His people were told, “Be joyful at your festival.” Why? Because their joy would be complete.
Israel was invited to celebrate a God who kept showing up for them. A God who went ahead of them before they knew what they would face, who provided before they knew they were hungry, and who was faithful long before they thought to ask. Their joy was not really about how far they had come. It was about how good He had been the whole way.
In our own lives, it is far too easy to miss what God has done. Life moves quickly, and we fail to notice His faithfulness. We rarely stop long enough to celebrate it. Yet He has been gracious to us before we even knew we needed it, and He still is.
This week, Forge celebrates 40 years of ministry By God’s Grace. Behind that number is a long story of His faithfulness. And you have a story worth celebrating, too.
Pause long enough to enjoy it. Set a table. Tell the story. Thank Him. Let your joy be completed through celebration!

Think of one thing God has done, big or small, that you have not properly celebrated. This week, celebrate it. Share a good meal, call someone who would rejoice with you, or simply take a moment to thank Him out loud.
