Scripture Focus:
Romans 12:1 (NIV) — “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship [latreuo]”
What if your everyday life—your work, your conversations, even your routines—could be worship? Last week, we explored doulos: what it means to be a bondservant of Jesus, giving ourselves fully in obedience and trust. That was the first step in understanding the life of a Kingdom Laborer: choosing to belong to Him completely, even when it feels upside-down to the world.
This week, we focus on latreuo, which means service as worship. It reminds us that worship isn’t only about singing songs or church attendance; it is how our whole life responds to God’s love. Latreuo flows from relationship, not obligation. It means living in a way that reflects the mercy and love we have already received, letting our time, attention, and presence become an offering to Him.
When we live this way, our question changes from “How can I earn God’s love?” to “How can I let God’s love shape everything I do today?” Serving suddenly stops feeling like a duty we have to sustain and rises naturally from a heart that is connected to Him. This is what it means to be a Kingdom Laborer: not someone trying to earn God’s favor, but someone whose life slowly becomes an offering because they have been with Him.

Notice where your service feels like obligation or pressure this week. Bring it honestly to God. Then choose one small act to serve from love, not duty, and see how it changes not only what you do but also how you feel.
